We have gifted ourselves with something luxurious to ward off the winter chill. I've always wanted a fireplace in the bedroom and now I have one, albeit electric.
I associate bedroom fireplaces with rambling and romantic English manor houses. While my house does not meet this description, it's a step in the right direction.
Now.... I'll also need some tall white pillar candles, a Persian rug, and perhaps an antique wing-back chair or two to complete the picture....

I know EXACTLY what you'll need for that spot.
ME.
Sitting in the wing-back chair.
With a lovely glass of wine that I PROMISE I won't spill.
Yes.
That would be just about right.
I have always wanted one of those fabulous electric fireplaces. I drool over them at Home Depot (while waiting for my Harvey's veggie burger and onion rings, of course.... what, did you think I buy hardware?!?)
Yay for bedroom fireplaces! Or any fireplace for that matter!
I think it would be more fun to build a teepee in the middle of the room.
Nice. Here in Texas I have a fireplace I just need it to get cold enough to use the darn thing.
I love fireplaces, no matter what. They are romantic, cozy, and helps you drift off to sleep with better dreams.
looks so cozy!! i'd be forever sitting it front of it if i had one of those!!
Wake me if the fire goes out. :)
It's so nice! I want one!
Dear Santa......
Oh nice! We have a real fireplace in our family room which is not a family room yet but just a big open space downstairs. Ed said by next spring he'll pay to have the thing cleaned (plus he's starting work on the family room - YAY) this coming summer. Can't wait!
You created a nice visual with of an old English manor.
That is really nice! I had no idea they made electric fireplaces!!
Ho, you also need the bear hide.
You know
